Punkin Carvin' Time!!!

Friday night we went to Heather and Eric's Pumpkin Carving Party. Daddy helped me carve this spooky ghost on to my pumpkin. I really had fun scooping all of the gooey pumpkin guts out!

Mommy helped Amelia carve her pumpkin. Amelia had fun looking into the pumpkin and gnawing on the rim of it. Amelia is so silly!

After, Daddy and I were finished with the ghost, Heather asked if I could help her with her pumpkin. Of course I said "Yes!!!" First, we were going to carve a design into the pumpkin, but Heather had the coolest idea to try, it involved a power tool!

Then Eric, got different sized drill bits to make different sized holes! After, we were done making the pumpkin look like Swiss cheese, Heather put a candle in it and it looked awesome!

Send in the Cows

I was looking for Rudy and all of the other cows, but only T-Bone was there. I asked Grandma Judy where were all of the other cows and she said they went "Bye-bye" aka they became part of the food chain.
- I didn't get a chance to try to figure out why the cows would want to go "Bye-Bye" (they seemed very happy at the farm), because I was quickly distracted by the sight of Papa's tractor. I love this big, green tractor. Grandma was answering all of my "what's this?" questions as I pointed to every lever, button and knob.
After we hung out in the barn, we decided to take a nice walk on the trails in the woods. Grandma found some of the biggest leaves I have ever seen! I am holding one of the gigantic leaves in the picture.

"I Do...Not!"

Today, Mommy got this bright idea from another person's blog to stuff me in this huge white dress and take my picture.
Every year near my birthday I will get to wear my Mommy's pretty wedding dress to have my picture taken in it. Mommy thinks that it will be so neat to see my growth over years by slowly growing into this dress.
My Mommy loved her wedding dress and she thought that this would be a perfect way to see how much I grow each year as well as honor her wedding dress. She whispered in my ear that someday when I want to get married that I could have her dress to wear on my wedding day or I have a different dress that is even better.

My Daddy would like to add that won't be happening for at least 34 years from now!

Soaking up some Fall Colors!

Rainy Day = Open Gym Play!

Lauren and I had a so much fun running and shuffling along the bleachers!

Amelia enjoyed exploring this cone by picking it up and dropping it to make the "plop" sound.

"Pun-kin" Pickin'

Sunday was just another beautiful Indian Summer day (it tied for an all time record high of 84!)

So, we headed out into the country for a day of "pun-kin" picking!

This was our second pumpkin picking at Davidson's Farm. This was the very same farm my Mommy use to go with her family when she was little. They have the biggest pumpkins I ever seen before!

Amelia was having fun walking around the pumpkins and tapping each one along the way!

"I've found mine!"

Next to the "Tunnel of Terror," was the cutest little baby calf! Daddy and I were carefully petting him! Amelia really enjoyed watching him move around.

After a very thorough search for the perfect pumpkin, this was the one that I liked best!

Children's Museum and More!

Daddy told me that there was a Thomas train at Navy Pier and that I could take a ride on it!

"Peep, Peep!" shouts Thomas!

"Next stop, the Children's Museum!"

So silly!!!

Auntie Rita and Daddy took a break to catch up on things by sitting in the back seat in a car that was parked in "Safety Town."

With a little help from my Daddy, I climbed up this rope tower thingy, and then scooted down the cool rope bridge that was 2 stories up in the air!

There was so many cool things to do at this museum! Here, we were playing in the "Construction Zone".

Of course, Mommy was excited to see this fine motor activity that involved fitting bolts into each of the holes that made up this picture of a baby. Mommy said I did a fine job!

This was another cool room, it was called "Water Works." We got to wear these nifty raincoats so our clothes would remain dry.

Amelia had a blast checking out all of the baby areas. This was the "pond" in the woods area.

Uncle JP and I are on a archaeological dig. We were busy trying to uncover the bones of this huge dinosaur!

Amelia had fun exploring another early walker area. She was discovering the light switches that turned on those pretty blue lights. We had so much fun spending the day down in the city with Uncle JP and Aunt Rita. We can't wait to do it again! Thanks for spending the whole day with us!!! We love you both very, very much!

A Trip to the Zoo

Saturday, we had a blast spending some time with our awesome Auntie Rita and Uncle JP!

We saw all sorts of really cool animals from all around the world. I was thrilled to finally see the giraffes. My daddy told me he has a friend that works at this zoo and one time he let my Daddy feed a real giraffe!!!


Here is Auntie Rita holding Amelia in the Lion house. As you can see Amelia wanted to continue looking at the lions instead of posing for a quick picture!
We saw a really cool "reindeer" (actually I think it was an elk). It had huge antlers!!!
Daddy and I are standing nose to nose with an Ape. Everyone agreed it was the coolest and yet the saddest sight we had seen all day. The ape was literately sitting right in front of the glass with his hand holding his chin, just looking so sad at everyone staring at him. Mommy said it was like looking into a persons eyes, it was like you could sense what he was thinking and feeling. Just to the right of ape, there was a gigantic gorilla. Again, it was hard to believe that it wasn't just some person with a gorilla costume on sitting in the cage! The Ape House was another one of my favorite places at the zoo.

After we spent the early afternoon at the zoo, it was time for some lunch!

Happy Fall!

OK, so we were not cooperating with the photographer aka Mommy. She tried very hard to get both of us kiddos to look at her and smile, but we kept getting distracted by all of the fun things to explore in the front of our house (usually we only are allowed to play in the backyard).

We have been taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather these past several days by going to parks, taking wagon rides and riding our bikes. Amelia are really enjoying fall and our Mommy says that there are plenty of more fun Fall things to do and see!

We are also working on making a Fall picture book. Whenever we see something that is Fall related our Mom takes a picture of it and afterwords she asks me to say what it is. Then, she is going to label each of the Fall pictures with the correct word/spelling, as well as the special way I pronounce them. Mommy thinks that she is going to forget my "baby talk," so she wants to capture it any way that is possible. For example:

Uncle Luke has some the coolest fish around. They were swimmin' all over the place.

I wanted to catch one, but there was this clear box thing that kept getting in my way.

I think they can see me!
