Turkey Day Desert

After dinner, we quickly went over the fence and through the woods (a handful of trees) to Nana's and Papa Bob's house we go!!!

Unfortunately, we ate so much yummy turkey we were too stuffed to eat anything else (or at least that is what my parents thought, shh!)
We visited with my Daddy's side of the family and got to see our relatives from down south and both of our Great-grandmothers. We really had a lot of fun playing with everyone.

Later, after everyone had left I got cozy on the couch with my grandparents and Nana read me one of our favorite story of about a silly monkey.

James was saying that at first while he was flapping his pretend wings, but shortly thereafter he correctly sounded like a little Turkey!

Catching Some ZZZs

While Mommy and Grandma Judy were busy preparing some of the food for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast, Papa and I took a moment to catch up on some Zzzs!

20 minutes later...

Mommy gasped as she went to check on us and found me slipping out of Papa's arms upside down!!! I guess we were both really tired!

WINTER

Push and Pull

So, our Mommy has been lagging in the blogging world and she apologies for that. We have been very busy from playing in our newly finished basement/playroom/family room to preparing for the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving. This was one of the many things we have been doing lately, playing at Open Gym.

In the above photo Lauren and I are busy playing with this cool bin on wheels during Open Gym time. There were many kids there the last time we played in the gym so sharing cool toys like that one was necessary, but we quickly found other things to run around with!

Peppers and Onions

Daddy and I love to make fajitas together! I help him prepare the peppers and onions and let me tell you they are both de-licous! Yes, raw onions are my new favorite veggie!

Baby James?

Sometimes we like to switch roles where James is the baby and I'm the big sister.

James was pretending to be a baby in the bouncer and I was being the nice big sister by rocking him like a baby. Mommy thought we were being so cute that she just had to take a picture to share with everyone.

Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Belated Halloween!!!

This year I was "Elmo" and Amelia was "Abby Cadabby", Elmo's very best friend. Grandma Judy made Amelia's costume and boy was she cute wearing it! Thanks Grandma for another fine costume!

I really got the hang of Trick-or-Treating this year. Last, year I was a little confused with everyone giving me candy in my pail, so I insisted I that I should give some candy back by placing it in their bowls! This time I gladly excepted the candy and displayed good manners by expressing my gratitude with a simple "thank you!" I also worked on saying "Trick-or-Treat" as I walked up to a friendly neighbor and saying "Happy Halloween" as I trotted to the next house.

Amelia had a lot of fun collecting candy, as well as sucking on the wrapped sweets!
She walked up to only a handful of houses this year, but I bet next Halloween she will be right by my side collecting tons of yummy candy!

It was a good thing that my parents took the wagon along, you can get pretty tuckered out wearing this heavy and hot costume!

After we finished working the block and our pals were over following with candy (even Mommy and Daddy got some special adult treats from some of our friendly neighbors), the L. Family stopped by to visit and play. Little Addie was the cutest little ladybug!

T-Bone and a Tractor

Wednesday, we played at Papa and Grandma Judy's house. Of course I just had to have a tractor ride! I could sit on that tractor all day if my Mommy would let me!

Papa showed me the proper way to pet T-Bone the cow. I tried really hard to walk up to him slowly and quietly. He let me scratch his big ear. Last, week when Papa had his surgery on his shoulder, Mommy, Amelia and I got to spend most of the week at their house, to help Papa with his chores and to make sure he was resting his shoulder well.

One of the things Mommy and us kiddos did every morning was feed the animals and check for eggs. I helped by turning on and off all of the lights, feeding the cat and feeding T-Bone (with some help from Mommy of course).

Happy 14 months!

Yes, our Mommy is still counting Amelia's age in months!

So our Baby Girl is 14 months old today, here's some of her newest found talents:

Beginning to say some words-"Mom-my" (only when she is upset), "dis"/this, "WOW!" and my Mommy swears she calls her "Cal-la"/Carla!!!

She enjoys drawing with crayons.

She is running all over the place.

She is now James' best full time playmate.

Starting to sign milk, more and food.

Knows how to make water come out of our water jug! (Always a good time!)

Tries to sing along with her two favorite songs, Row, Row Your Boat and It's Our Time.

Again, time is going by so fast!

James'- The Dog Washer

Since, the weather was warm earlier this week, we decided that Tyler needed a bath!

This is how you give a dog a bath...

First, you have to give him a good brushing.Then, you get to hose him down to get him all wet! (This was the best part!)

Now, you pour a little dog soap on him and scrub him down, don't forget his tail!

Next, you need to give him a good rinsing.

Finally, it is time to dry Tyler. Even though the air felt warm, the water from the hose was very chilly, so we had to dry Tyler off quickly so he wouldn't get too cold.

I had fun helping Tyler get a bath but, I have to admit I am not sure if he smelled any better then he did before the bath. A wet dog is a stinky dog!

I VOTED!!!

Today will be a historical day in our country. No matter who wins tonight it will be a first for all of us. Perhaps, we will have the first women as Vice President or the first ever African-American President. We will soon know who will be our next President. Apparently, this is such a big day for my Mommy that she felt that she needed to take us along to the voting booth. Mommy said that maybe someday we would appreciate being there.
It is rather hard to see in these two pictures, but we did get our very own "I Voted"sticker that we both proudly wore for the rest of the day!

We hope everyone exercised their right to vote on this big election day!

Indian Summer Days!

Can you believe this weather?

We went for a walk and spotted a neighbor's front lawn covered in the most beautiful colored leaves (these pictures really do not do justice). My Mommy decided that a little trespassing wouldn't be aweful to do on such a warm fall day, right?
I wonder what they taste light? They look so yummy!!!

Mommy, can you help me cover myself with leaves?

Whee!!!!

Thanks unknown neighbor for letting us enjoy your front lawn that was blanketed with the most brilliant colored leaves. We just couldn't resist!!!

GREAT AMERICA

Sunday we went to this really fun place called Six Flags! Our Uncle Jim gave us tickets to go and boy did we have a blast! Daddy and I went flying in this cool airplane. I made it go up and down by pushing a button.

"Look Daddy, no hands!!!"
This was a ride that I got to go on all by myself! I looked down at my Mommy and saw a really weird look on her face, she called that face a "terrified/worried/anxious" face.

BUZZIN" BY!!!

Daddy took me on my first roller coaster. We got to ride in the very front, which it the scariest place to ride on a roller coaster.
Wow, that was a very fast ride and a little scary for me!

The whole family had a blast in this kiddie area. There were millions of balls flying everywhere! In the picture we were using on of the vacuums to suck up the balls. We never figured out where they all went to?

This was our last ride of the evening. We enjoyed a nice ride a kiddie train that took us around a spooky scene.

Thanks Uncle Jim for giving us the tickets! We had so much fun!!!
