Well, it's time to catch the next train to head back home!

Millennium Park

First stop, lunch at Bennigan's. We gave my parents a run for their money, let's just say our behavior was not the greatest...

but Mommy and Daddy gave us a second chance.

Millennium Park has some fun things to do and neat things to see! That huge head is actually a large tower of glass blocks with a enormus TV behind it. There are two towers and each has water cascading on all four sides of it. In between the towers is were all of the water gathers and were all the fun begins!

Sometimes, the large faces on the tower spit out water at you just like this! It is so silly!!!

Ahhh, nothin' like laying in cool water on a cool day!

Choo-Choo Metra

CHOO-CHOO TRAIN!

Today, we finally took a ride on the Metra just for fun!

Mommy had a couple of weekend passes left over from Ginny's bachelorette party and thought it would be a great opportunity to hop on the train for a ride. Daddy and Mommy decided to take us all the way to the end of the line, Chicago! We love it down in the big city, so many things to see and do over there!"I think we are starting to move!"
On the train ride we traveled pass many neat things, such as the Fox River, Daddy's childhood hometown of Park Ridge and another train going the other way on the track just beside ours!
Riding the train was a lot of fun!

James and I love to climb into this chair, grab a couple of blankets and press play on the CD player. We love to sit and listen to some tunes.

Volo Bog

The Volo Bog

Today, we ventured to the Volo Bog to do some exploring. First, we stopped at the information center that had a little library and a small hands-on museum. This was a very cool puzzle that had all different animals from all parts of the world.

In the museum there were many drawers to take a peek in and pull things out of. Nana was showing me a skull of a small animal. "Yikes!"


After we poked around the museum a bit, we headed outside to see what a class of middle school students were doing by the pond. They were looking for different living things that make this small pond their home.

This was a very neat trail that went right through the bog. Don't worry, Nana had a death grip on my collar/shoulder!


Even Amelia, enjoyed the stroll along the bumpy wooden path.

Here we are starting to head back out of the bog.

Memorial Day

This was a rather chilly start to this holiday parade. We found a nice place to set our chairs down to get ready for the annual Memorial Day parade!
OK, so we didn't want to take a moment to snap a
quick pic, but at least Daddy was smiling for the camera!

There were many fun things to see again at the parade, but this was something new! It was the "Crusin' Coolers Crew" zooming down the street! The Shriner's always drive fun cars, motorcycles, magic carpet rides and other different motorized vehicles, but this year they added coolers to list of transportation options! So SILLY!!!

Someday we will learn why this day is very important to all Americans, until then let's sit back and watch the parade go by!!!
