O Tannenbaum!

Advent Activities Day 6:
Decorating Christmas Tree
The tree arrives!
After the branches are arranged and fluffed up, the lights we hung and now it was time for the ornaments!

The last part, the angel.
"O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Much pleasure thou can'st give me!"

Silver and Gold?

Advent Activities Day 5:
Stringing up Christmas lights
(OK, Mom agrees that the title for this post is a bit of a stretch, but this is the only song she could kind of connect to this activity!)

(the "cord" is silver at least!)

We also talked about how we could rearrange the lights by grouping them by color or we could make a pattern using with them.

This was a fun activity that involved a fine motor work out as well as eye hand coordination practice. Now, hanging the strand of lights with out them falling down, is still being mastered!!

First Snowfall

Advent Activities Day 3:
Glitter Snowflakes

"Can we go out now and play in the snow...cough, sniffle...sniffle?" James asked as he wiped his nose with his sleeve.

"James Baby, you and Amelia are not feeling well enough to go out in the cold, but don't worry there will be plenty of snow to play in soon." Mommy replied as she crossed her fingers hoping that it will soon snow again, so her sickies can prance around in it when they are feeling well again.

On to our snowflake project! First, we painted four large popsicle sticks white.
Then, while the paint is still wet, we sprinkled pretty white glitter over the sticks.
After Mommy helped us glue the sticks together, we hung them in our kitchen window.
Even though we didn't get to touch the snow today, we were still pretty excited to see the first snowfall of the year!

Deck the Halls

Advent Activity Day 2:
Making Bow Wreaths

Here is a picture of our Advent Calendars. The big tree was given to us by Grandma Judy four years ago. Each day Amelia and I take turns adding an ornament to the tree to count "up" to Christmas. The two little trees underneath are our individual count "up" to Christmas calendars. We get to color in an ornament each day as we get closer to Christmas!

This activity was introduced to us by Heather. Joshua made one his first day of Advent activities and we thought it turned out so nice, we just had to make one for ourselves! The reason Mommy chose this Christmas song for the title of this post was because we hung up our pretty bow wreaths on our bedroom doors, therefore we "decked the halls!"

A Hamilton Thanksgiving

Mommy apologizes for the lack of pictures. She is going to have to get some from some else, since she needed to take James home because he started to not feel well again. However, she did have the camera out when Amelia was demonstrating our newest love, the swing chair!

Maybe she was just preparing herself for the upcoming trip to the circus!
Happy Thanksgiving Hamilton Family!!!

We love each and everyone of you!

We would also like to say how thankful we are for all of our dearest family members, for they all hold such special places in our hearts and lives. We are also thankful for having such wonderful friends and neighbor/friends, we love all of you so much! We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!
