A Weekend of Family Visitors

We had a wonderful weekend with some wonderful visitors! First, Mommy played (attempted) volleyball Friday night with Uncle Peter. After, the games were finished, Uncle Peter, Auntie Jeannie, Aaron and Jenn came back to our house and hung out. Unfortunately, by the time they got home it was well passed our bedtime, therefore we missed seeing everyone. Maybe, next week the volleyball games will be earlier so we can go too!
Saturday, Uncle Luke and Olivia came over for dinner. It was so great to see them. They just got back from Olivia's family trip up in Wisconsin. They had fun stories about all of the cool things they did and saw at the lake they stayed at. We hope we can visit a neat place like that someday. In this picture we were all getting a little tired, so we got cozy on the couch!

Speaking of getting cozy...

AUNTIE RITA WAS!!!

Silly Auntie Rita, or should we say smart Auntie Rita! James was sharing one of his new favorite books that we share at bedtime My Friend Rabbit, while she snuggled in his bed. James read (retold) the fun story very well.

We had a lot of fun playing around the house with our Aunt. Even, I (Amelia) let her hold me for quite some time. She is always a lot of fun to be with. Auntie Rita can make the silliest faces and make the craziest sounds with some pretty wild movements accompanying them, just ask her to do her impression of a monkey!

Auntie Rita thanks for visiting us today!!! PS We missed Uncle JP, but our Mommy said that it important that he study hard so he can finish his classes with super-duper grades! Also, Mommy and Daddy promised us that we will come visit you both (Willis too) soon!!!

Sprinkling Elmo

These pictures are actually from last week, but I had a chance to play with the sprinkler today as well.
How does the water get in there?

Even Mommy and Amelia had fun running back and forth through the water too.
We tried to get Tyler to run through the water, but he was too afraid! Silly Dog!

Happy Fourth (fifth) of July!!!

We picked a perfect spot to see the fireworks .
Auntie Jeannie and Uncle Peter met us there to watch the fireworks too!

Hey, I think there is something stuck to my forehead! Mommy, help please!

Daddy thought it would be funny to stick a piece of "baby crack" to my head, and Mommy thought it would be hilarious to get a picture of it!

OK, this was Mommy pathetic attempt to capture one of the fireworks. Believe us, the fireworks were beautiful and we were not scared of them at all! We can't wait until next year to see some more!

Look up in the sky!

We are getting ready for take off!

Here's James' House! If you look closely, you can see Mommy waving in the backyard with Tyler by her side! "Hi, Mommy!"
"You all look like little ants!"
Papa Bob took this really cool picture of the Chicago! What a beautiful day for a flying. Now, you might be wondering how Papa Bob took pictures while flying an airplane? Well, while Papa Bob was taking pictures, Daddy was flying the airplane! Daddy flew almost the entire time we were up in the sky! I never knew Daddy could fly! Great flying Daddy!!!
This picture was taken right after we landed. Papa and Daddy opened the windows after the plane has touched down on the runway. As you can see it can get pretty windy! But, it sure felt good!

Needless to say, I had a wonderful time on my first airplane ride! Daddy told Mommy that I was a little nervous at first. I wasn't sure if I like the whole idea that the ground was so far away. I kept asking "Daddy, GROUND? Daddy, GROUND?!" But then I took a little catnap for a few minutes and when I awoke I was relaxed and ready to enjoy the flight. Papa and Daddy gave me a big job, I had to help look for other airplanes in the sky. Well, little do they know that I have countless hours of experience doing just that! I even pointed a couple planes out before Daddy and Papa even spotted them (well, I am a little obsessed with spotting airplanes where ever we go you know). I was sure glad I could help out!
Today, was a fantastic adventure up in the sky! Thanks Papa Bob for taking Daddy and me for a plane ride! Can we do it again?!?!?! PLEASE!!!

James is flying!!!

Today was an exciting day for James. Papa Bob called this morning to see if Daddy and James wanted to go flying. Of course Daddy said "Yes!"
This is Daddy actually flying over our house. Mommy stood in the backyard waving as well as some of our neighbors as they flew by.
Unfortunately, I missed the all the exictement due to my nap. I am sure James will tell me all about what it was like to fly!

Crystal Lake Gala

That looks like a scary ride! I think I am too little for that!
That looks pretty cool, but once again I am too small to ride.
Even though Amelia and I are too little to ride on these rides (Mommy and Daddy said even if we were older we will not be able to go on those anyways they are too scary for big kids too) it was still fun just walking around, dancing to the live music and eating some yummy food.
Happy Fourth of July!
