Let's Bowl!!!

We have a new tradition in our family. We like to celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day the day before the actual holiday, so can spend more time with all of the people we love! Last night, we gave Mommy a very special Mother's Day gift, a Wii video game with Guitar Hero!!! She was so excited and in disbelief, I think she likes her present!!! This morning Daddy made us all a very yummy Mother's Day breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and "cake-cake" (coffee cake). Then we headed over to the Bowling Alley.1,2,3!!!
Nice try James!!! You rolled the ball so fast!OK, who's up?

Ready...1,2,3!!!Good push Amelia!
Everyone bowled very well, especially us kiddos! We got a combined total score of 72! Not bad for our first time!
After, bowling we went straight to Grandma Judy and Papa's house. They took us to see our Great-Grandparents and then we came back to their house and played all night long! Daddy took Mommy to Six Flags for a date night and they met up with Uncle Jim and went on many roller coasters! Then, after the park closed they had dinner and Red Lobster! Mommy said this was the best Mother's Day ever!!!

Castle Park then Old McDonalds

This afternoon we met up with Heather and Joshua at the "Castle" park for some fun. This park looks like a castle. There are many places to run, climb and slide down on. For the first time ever Amelia and I tried the tire swing out. It was a lot of fun and surprisingly we didn't get too dizzy.
"Oh fair maiden, where art thou going?"
After, we finished playing in the sandbox and swinging on the swings, we jumped in the car and headed to "Old McDonald's" for a tasty lunch!

(Felize Cinco de Mayo!
We will be enjoying a Mexican enchilada bake dinner with chips and salsa tonight. Yummy!)

Water/Sensory Table + Rice= A Lot of Fun!

For the third day in a row, we have had amazing weather. This afternoon Mommy decided to put 2 pounds of Rice in our water table for us to play with and explore. First, we just played with the rice, by running our fingers through the rice and scooping and letting the rice fall between our fingers. Then, we raided our deck tub that houses a lot of our sand and water toys to play with in the rice.
This stuff feels so cool and sounds so interesting!

A Walk for a Cause

MS Walk 2009

This was another perfect spring day to spend the morning on a walk. This morning we all walked with our friend Dawn to support finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. We had a blast walking, riding, running and picking dandelions along the 3 mile trail.
At the finish line, they gave everyone these cool pinwheels. They spun very fast in the wind!
All of the kids headed over to the "moonwalk" and jumped away the last bit of energy we had.
We hope everyone got out to enjoy the perfect spring weather during this wonderful weekend!

A Great Day At Great America

GREAT AMERICA

This is where our Uncle Jim works. He is in charge of keeping everyone safe at the park. For Christmas he gave our family season passes, so we can visit the park whenever we want to! Uncle Jim works at a very cool place. Here are just a few (I know way too many) photos of what we did at the park on this gorgeous 70 degrees day!

Surprisingly, the kids loved the Sky Trek!
Wow, the view from up here was amazing. We could even see the Chicago Skyline!

Right at the entrance, there were thousands of yellow daffodils. Mommy thought that this would be a great photo-op, of course we kiddos didn't want to waste anytime, but we decided to cooperate and just took the photo. Cheese!!!

Beeping along on a little Ladybug!
BUZZ! BUZZZ!!!

Up, up and away!!!

My have you grown! You are tall enough to ride on some of the bigger kid rides all by yourself!!!

Chuggin' along on the choo-choo train!

TOOT-TOOT!

No need to explain how Amelia felt about the Wiggles area!

"Hey, Silly! I'm going to get you!!!"

"Do you think they had a great time?"

Thanks again Uncle Jim for giving our family a gift of a summer time fun and memories to last a lifetime!!!
